AR Rahman composes at high speed

In an interview with Forbes magazine, AR Rahman, winner of more awards than even he can possibly remember including two Grammys and two Oscars revealed some little known facts about himself. For instance, he said that he does not believe in burning the midnight oil or working too hard on his job as it takes the magic out of it.
In the words of ARR, "I'm never composing in the studio for too long - at best for 20 minutes, 30 on the outside. I don't spend eight to nine hours on something. It fatigues me. It's like beating a sick person." He added that he waits patiently to get into the zone and allows the creation process to happen without rushing it. Clearly geniuses have their own unique methods of working!
