Rajni makes a promise

Superstar Rajinikanth has given an assurance to his millions of fans that his forthcoming film Kochadaiyaan, being directed by his younger daughter Soundarya R Ashwin, will be released on Deepavali.

The actor of Tamil cinema, who left for the United Kingdom on Saturday to take part in the movie's shooting, said this at the Chennai airport, where he was greeted by his fans.

'Kochadaiyaan will be a complete treat to my fans. It will be loaded with all aspects my fans will love to watch. They will see a youthful and energetic Rajini in Kochadaiyaan,' said the 'Thalaivar'.

With Deepika Padukone playing his heroine, Kochadaiyaan will have Sarath Kumar, Aadhi, Naaser and Shobana in lead roles. Music is by A R Rahman. Shooting for the 3D film will start today in London.
