Huge success for Dhanush's Kolaveri

Setting records and breaking them has become a habit for 'Why this kolaveri di...', a song from Dhanush's upcoming's release 3, ever since it was released on the internet in the middle of November last year.

On Monday afternoon, 50,086,633 hits were recorded by the song on leading video sharing website YouTube. The song has been declared a hit all over the world, with netizens across the globe shaking their legs to it.

According to Shridhar Subramaniam, president India and Middle East Sony Music Entertainment, 'Kolaveri di is the best example for how a good song can be made to reach the audience with the help of technology.'

Meanwhile, 3 is getting ready to hit the screens this Friday. Starring Dhanush and Shruthi Haasan in lead roles, the movie is the maiden directorial venture of Aishwarya R Dhanush, the elder daughter of Superstar Rajinikanth.
