Kajal Agarwal said showing glamour is inevitable

Kajal Agarwal said that glamour cannot be avoided in commercial film. Naga Chaitanya who is the son of Nagarjuna had acted in a Telugu film titled Dhada.

This film is being dubbed in Tamil with the title Tiger Vishva. Kajal Agarwal and Samiksha have acted in this film.

Kajal Agarwal while speaking about this film said, "In Tamil I am pairing with Vijay in Thuppakki and with Surya in Maatran.

The Telugu films in which I have acted are now being dubbed in Tamil. The Telugu film Dhada which had Naga Chaitanya in the lead role is being dubbed in Tamil with the title Tiger Vishva.
Ajay has directed this film. A situation arises where the hero has to clash with an underground don. The heroine’s brother works for that don. How he is retrieved is the rest of the story.

I can never forget the shooting of this film. While the shooting took place in Hyderabad, it got affected because of the Telangana problems. Later on the shooting took place in Chennai.

Since there are two heroines in this film, many are asking whether this is paving way for glamour competition. If the story demands, I have acted with more than 2 heroines.

Glamour is an important ingredient in commercial cinema. That is unavoidable. This applies to all language films."

Anushka interested to don Vidhya Balan’s role

Anushka refused to don the role of Silk Smitha which was donned by Bollywood actress Vidhya Balan in the Hindi film The Dirty Picture.

This film was based on the life of the popular late glamour queen Silk Smitha. It was planned to remake this film in all the South Indian languages including Tamil.

When Anushka was approached for call sheet, she refused it. She mentioned that she will act in any other film which has a good story line.

At this juncture the Hindi film Kahaani was a smash hit. This film also had Vidhya Balan in the lead role. The story of this film is about a pregnant woman who comes in search of her missing husband in Kolkata.
Anushka had seen this film. She while speaking about this film said, "The role donned by Vidhya Balan is very challenging one.

If anyone comes forward to remake this film in South Indian languages I am ready to don the role which Vidhya Balan did. I will give call sheet at any time."

Now there is a stiff competition among the Tamil and Telugu producers to acquire the remake rights in their respective languages.

No one knows when and who will get a chance. To tell the truth, this is my first Tamil offer. Mani sir who had seen my Hollywood films would have thought I was tailor made for this role.

All of a sudden I got a phone call from Madras Talkies. I gave my nod immediately. What has happened to me has happened at the perfect time.
Your first Tamil film itself is with Manirathnam. How do you feel?

Apart from my father Mohan Babu, I got the passion for cinema because of Manirathnam sir. Right from childhood days I grew up watching Manirathnam sir films.

When I took up acting I wanted to act at least in one scene in his film. Now he has confidently given me such a big role in his film Kadal.

After a long time he is directing a native Tamil film. This film will be like those days pure Tamil magical film. Thanks to Mani sir.

What is your role in Kadal?

Mani sir has told me not to open my mouth until the release of the film. You are asking me this question in spite of knowing him but I will tell you a secret.

After the release of this film, many actresses will feel that they missed this opportunity. It wouldn’t be surprising if the Tamil audience build a temple for me.

First Look of Viswaroobam from May 1st

It has been confirmed that the First Look of Kamal starrer Viswaroobam will be released on 1st May. Viswaroobam is a film which has Kamal Haasan in the lead role. Pooja Kumar and Andrea are the two heroines of this film.

Rahul Bose is donning the villain role. This film is a high budgeted one ever to be produced in India. The shooting of this film took place in India and in some important cities in America.

Shankar Mahadevan, Ehsaan Noorani and Loy Mendonsa have composed the music for this film. It has been announced that on 1st May the First Look teaser which will have duration of 30 seconds will be uploaded in the You Tube. The post production of this film is going on in top gear in order to release this film during the month of July.

Actor Aadhi says that he is happy to share the screen with Rajnikanth in Kochadaiyaan

The shooting of Rajni starrer Kochadaiyaan is going on in top gear. The first schedule of shooting has taken place in London. Now the second schedule of shooting is going on in Kerala.

Sarathkumar and Aadhi are donning important roles in this film. Deepika Padukone is the heroine of this film. Sequences pertaining to Aadhi were shot recently.

Aadhi while speaking about this film said, "I am quite happy because I am acting with Rajnikanth in Kochadaiyaan. I am thankful to Soundarya for giving me a new experience. I have acted in my role with dedication. At the same time, my role in this film is very challenging but I got invigorated after meeting Rajni. On the last day of my shooting I got the opportunity to speak with Rajnikanth. I wanted to take a photo with him but I was reluctant to ask him. Rajni all of a sudden asked me to stand by him and put his hands on my shoulders and took a photo. I can never forget these moments."

Vijayakanth’s son to don the role which Vijay wanted

There was news a couple of months back that Vijayakanth’s son Shanmuga Pandian will be debuting as hero. Vijayakanth also did not deny this news. He was listening stories from various directors.

Now he has chosen a simple way for his son to debut. He has acquired the Tamil remake rights of the Telugu super hit film Brindavanam which had Junior NTR, Kajal Agarwal and Samantha in the cast.

Junior Vijayakanth Shanmuga Pandian will be donning the role which Junior NTR donned in Brindavanam. There are two heroines in this film. Talks are going on with two leading actresses for the heroine roles. There was a tough competition among Tamil heroes including Vijay to act in the Tamil remake of Brindavanam but now Shanmuga Pandian will be donning the lead role which Vijay desired.

Kalakalappu to hit the screens on 11th May

After many years Sundar C has directed a film titled Kalakalappu @Masala Cafe. Vimal, Mirchi Shiva, Santhanam, Anjali and Oviya have starred in this film. Vijay Ebenezer who enthralled the people with his music in the film Kandein has composed music for this film.

Kushboo’s Avni Cinemax has produced this film in association with UTV Motion Pictures. Kalakalappu @ Masala Cafe is Sundar C’s 25th film. All the work connected with this film was over.

The film was sent to Censor Board for certification. The members who saw this film gave a U certificate. UTV Motion Pictures has announced that this film will hit the screens on 11th May. There are lots of expectations for this Kalakalappu @ Masala Cafe since Sundar C has directed a film after a long time.

Surya to act in Singam 2 after Maatran

Singam is a super hit film directed by Hari. This film had Surya, Anushka, Vijayakumar and Prakash Raj in the cast. Director Hari was readying the script for the Part 2 of this film. Hari has completed the entire screenplay of Singam 2 now.

Surya has allotted his call sheet for this film. He will start acting after he completes Maatran. Anushka who had acted in the Part 1 of Singam has been signed for the Part 2 of this film. Hansika, Vivek, Vijayakumar, Radha Ravi, Nasar and Rehman will also be starring in this film.

Santhanam will be taking care of the comedy portions. The shooting of this film will be taking place in Chennai, Hyderabad, Tuticorin, Tirunelveli and Karaikudi. For the first time, director Hari will be shooting some important action sequences and song sequences in South Africa and Kenya.

Devi Sriprasad who had composed music for Singam will be composing music for this film. Priyan will be handling the camera. Hari who has penned the story, screenplay and dialogues will be directing this film. Lakshmanan is producing this film under the banner Prince Pictures.

Kajal Agarwal says that Vijay is a cool type

Have you become friends with Vijay?

O yes. Vijay is a very cool type. At the shooting spots, he will fully concentrate on his work. He affectionately moves with me. He excels even in small performances also. Vijay is a very energetic person

There is news that you have learnt Russian language?

Sequences for the film Maatran was shot in Russia and because of this I learnt Russian language. I am working very hard. Even during my college days, if I take up a matter I will not leave it until I win. I will struggle. This applies to my acting also.

Are you donning the role of a glamour bullet in the film Thuppakki?

No...No... I am donning the role of a mischievous girl. I am a bubbly girl who chases Vijay and love him. The audience will love my bubbly role. I am wearing jeans and T shirt in this film. It will look very beautiful.

In the recent films, you seem to look very beautiful. Are you in diet or something?

After conversing with you I am going to drink almond milk. I am against dieting. I will not control myself in eating. I am doing what others do to look beautiful. I am not doing anything special.

Now you are acting in the advertisement films in which Aishwarya Rai had acted earlier. You almost resemble Aishwarya.

Me- Aishwarya Rai. O my God. What else gift I can get than this. I will come soon to Chennai and meet my Tamil fans.

What is your speciality in Billa 2?

Like how my fans and audience are interested in seeing my films, I am also interested in their comments. It will not be good if I speak about my film and acting. Public only should say that how I have acted. I will accept whatever they comment or criticize. I don’t have the eligibility to say what is right or wrong.

Apart from the general public, there will be lots of expectations among your fans?

They are journeying with me for the last twenty years. They know about me fully. They know my suffering, pain, betrayal, joy and also about my family. They are pouring out their affection on me than I expected. They know that how I will fulfil their expectations.

Can we say that you have not utilized your fans properly?

Fans crowd is a blessing from God. I will not use them for my personal benefits. I am very firm in this. Moreover I do not want to use them for my business. There will be no virtue in this.

You have been acting in stylish action films. Can we not see Ajith in affectionate father or brother’s role? Can we expect you in the roles of the films like Aarilirunthu Arubathu Varai and Mullum Malarum?

Everything is in script. I should get such a script. In Varalaaru I donned the role of a father. The story should be more than Varalaaru then I will consider in donning these kinds of roles.

We are informed that you took great risk in the helicopter fight in Billa 2?

I am taking my salary for doing all these kind of work. When the producer says that it would be a plus if I act like this or that, it is good to obey them. Apart from my salary there is also extra remuneration for doing these kinds of things. Leave this matter. You are speaking about the risks who does it for the sake of money. Take our army people. Every day and every moment they are taking risks at dangerous spots. Compared to them my risks are not that big.

Reema Sen to act in a film produced by actor Vijay

Reema Sen became popular in Tamil films by sharing the screen with popular heroes. She acted with Vijay in Bhagavathi, with Vikram in Dhool and with Karthi in Aayirathil Oruvan. She danced for a song with Vikram in the film Rajapattai.

  

She recently got married to a hotelier in Delhi. It was expected that she will avoid acting after her marriage but now she has been signed for a film which is being produced by actor Vijay. She is acting in the remake of the yester year Tamil film Sattam Oru Iruttarai.

Sattam Oru Iruttarai is a film which has Vijayakanth in the lead role. This film which was directed by Vijay’s father S A Chandrasekaran was released in the year 1981. This film was a block buster and was remade in various languages. Rajni had acted in the Hindi version titled Andha Kanoon.

This film made Rajni very popular in Bollywood. This film which was a great success in all the languages is being remade in Tamil by actor Vijay. Sneha who is a close relative of Vijay will be directing this film. Actor Prabhu’s son Vikram Prabhu will be donning the role which Vijayakanth had donned in the original version.

Piya, Karthika and Reema Sen have been signed for this film. Reema is donning the role of a police officer. Through the film Sattam Oru Iruttarai, Reema is making her re- entry in Tamil films. Reema is doing regular workouts and yoga in order to keep her physique trim and fit to suit the police officer’s role.

Muppozhudhum Un Karpanaigal in Cannes Film Festival

The prestigious Cannes Film Festival will be taking place between 16th May to 27th May. The Tamil film Muppozhudhum Un Karpanaigal has been selected to screen in Producers Network Special Screening category.

This film has Adharva and Amala Paul in the lead roles. Muppozhudhum Un Karpanaigal which has been directed by Elred Kumar has the music of G V Prakash. Producer and director Elred Kumar has been invited for this film festival. On the inaugural day, the cast and crew of Muppozhudhum Un Karpanaigal are to be welcomed. The film is to be screened on 22nd May.

Kochadaiyaan: Rajni not interested

Rajni is actively participating in the shooting of Kochadaiyaan. This film is being produced by Eros International in association with Soundarya’s Ocher Studios. Rajni is least interested in his daughter Soundarya producing this film.

So Rajni wanted to somehow change his daughter production to some other production house. Rajni has high regards for A V M Saravanan. Whenever he feels like seeing him, he will drive straight to AVM Studios.

Before leaving to Kerala to participate in the shooting of Kochadaiyaan, Rajni had met Saravanan. He requested him to take charge of the production of Kochadaiyaan from his daughter’s hands but Saravanan has mentioned," Now the situation in Tamil cinema is not good Rajni. We are not in a position to produce films. I am helpless... Sorry Rajni."

A R Rahman in a TV serial

After composing music for the Tamil film Vinnaithaandi Varuvaaya directed by Gowtham Menon, A R Rahman has not composed music for any Tamil films. Vinnaithaandi Varuvaaya was released 2010.

A R Rahman is continuously composing music for the Tamil films in 2012. He is composing music for Kochadaiyaan which has Rajni in the lead role. He is also composing music for Manirathnam’s Kadal, Vijay starrer Yohan, Dhanush starrer Mariyaan and Kamal’s film to be produced by Aascar Ravichandran. Apart from all these films, he will be composing music for a TV Serial to be directed by Gowtham Menon. Prime Slot has been allotted by Sun TV for this serial. Parthiban is donning the main role in this serial.

• I dream of an industry where heroine oriented movies are made the same way as heroes , because most of the heroines have proved their dancing talents! Rather than using heroines as ‘show-pieces’ it would be better if they were used as proper actors. 

• I wish a day will come when the media will find more important things than peeping into the personal life actors. Of course, I am grateful to those media people who take their job very seriously.

• I wish the over dominance of business mentality will reduce, that people who see cinema more as a means to make money than as a passion will reduce, thereby allowing the makers and artistes to work with a greater freedom, and hence bring out their creativity.

• If I am given a chance I will put an end to piracy completely!

Being Ilayaraja's so says Yuvanshankar Raja

Being a celebrity son is not an easy task! So was it really difficult for Yuvanshankar Raja from breaking away the Ilayaraja's son tag? "Quite a bit, I must say! There was always that pressure of being the son of a legend in the beginning. And even now, I don’t feel like I’ve achieved anything near his success, but I believe I have sort of made a name for myself. Coming out of his shadow has been very difficult. There have been many watching out for want my music to live on. I want future generations to enjoy my music. I want them to probably take my music and research into it wondering how I managed to make such music way back," Yuvan said in an exclusive interview to Galatta Cinema.

Acting just happened says Udhayanidhi Stalin

After being the head of a successful production house, Red Giants Movies, Udhayanidhi Stalin recently tested his hands on acting and success followed in.... So was everything pre-planned? well, the Kalaignar scion says that cinema just happened along the way.

"Entering cinema just happened along the way. I didn’t plan to produce movies, nor did I plan to act. About 10 years back, I didn’t even dream that I would become a producer. Similarly, about 3 years back, I didn’t have any idea that I would become an actor. I just believe everything is happening for the best," Udhay said in an exclusive interview to Galatta Cinema.

So can we expect him to test the waters in direction as well? "I seriously don’t know! As I told, I didn’t know 3 years back, that I would act. But, I don’t think I can see myself as a director, as that seems to be a very difficult job. I’ve been around directors a lot, and have seen the type of hard work involved. There is also the aspect of dealing with the producer and the hero. So, I don’t think direction is for me," he added.

"There are quite a few. But, when it comes to my most favourite, I consider Usurey Pogudhey in Raavanan, which I absolutely love, and Enakkoru Girlfriend Venum from Boys. I also like Shakthi Kodu, from Baba, which kind of launched me big time, and Oliyile Therivadhu from Azhagi, which is another wonderful song," he said in an exclusive interview to Galatta Cinema.

Urumi set to go International

Santosh Sivan's master piece Urumi has already had a huge impact in the Indian film industry on the whole. Now this movie looks at the possibility of going international!

Santosh Sivan himself has confirmed this news. He said,Urumi's English version titled Vasco Da Gama is entirely different from the original Malayalam version and will see a different structure and story, which primarily focuses on portraying the brutal side of Portuguese invader Vasco Da Gama, who sailed to India. He also said that the movie Vasco Da Gama will retain only 30% of the scenes from Urumi and the remaining portions have been already filmed. However, the most wanted cinematographer of Indian cinema has no time to work on his movie. The English version will hit the international screens only in 2015.

After a lot of juggle of dates, Santosh Sivan seems to have finalised the time of release of Tamil version of Urumi. The Tamil version titled Uravaal is likely to hit the Kollywood screens in the month of May.

Samaran to hit the screens during the month of May

Director Thiru had earlier directed the film Theeradha Vilaiyattu Pillai which had Vishal in the lead role. He is once again directing Vishal in a film titled Samaran. For the first time Trisha is pairing with Vishal in this film.

Sunaina is the second heroine of this film. Prakash Raj is donning an important role in this film. Samaran which has the music of Yuvan Shankar Raja is being produced by Balaji Real Media which had earlier produced Osthi.

The shooting of this film has taken place in Ooty and Thailand. The final schedule of shooting is taking place now in top gear. Efforts are being taken to release this film during the month of May. Samaran means warrior. This film is about a person who faces unexpected twists in his life and how he overcomes it.

Kalakalappu @ Masala Café is Sundar C’s 25th film

After a long time Sundar C has directed a film titled Kalakalappu @ Masala Café. This film has Vimal, Shiva, Santhanam, Anjali and Oviya in the cast. Vijay Ebenezer who had earlier enthralled the people with his music in the film Kandein has composed music for this film.

This film has been produced by Avni Cinemax in association with UTV Motion pictures. Kalakalappu @ Masala Café is Sundar C’s 25th film. The audio of this film was launched recently.

Sundar C while speaking on this occasion said, "I feel as if I had come into cinema recently but Kalakalappu @ Masala Café is my 25th film. Earlier I use to write stories keeping in mind about certain actor and actress. Sometimes this will not materialize so I will make someone else to act but when I wrote the script for Kalakalappu @ Masala Café I felt that it would be better if Vimal, Shiva, Anjali and Oviya acted in this film.

I got their call sheet. I am very satisfied now because I have directed them in this film. We get mental satisfaction if we give opportunity to senior yester year actors whose films we enjoyed on the past. I have given opportunity to senior most character actor V S Raghavan sir. He has astounded everyone by his dancing and acting in spite of his age. He is 90 years old."

Three song sequences and the trailer were screened for the guest and media people. This film is to hit the screens during the month of May.

Nanditha Das back in Kollywood

Popular all over India for acting skills and voicing for social causes, Nanditha Das acted in a few Tamil films too, including Mani Ratnam's Kannathil Muthamitaal and Thangar Bachan's Azhagi.

The actress is back in Kollywood now, with National Award winning director Seenu Ramasami's forthcoming film Neer Paravai. Starring Vishnu and Sunaina in lead roles, the movie is being produced by Udhayanidhi Stalin.

Confirming this, Seenu Ramasami says, 'I recently called on Nanditha Das in Bengaluru and explained the script and her character in it. She was impressed with the project and gave her consent to be part of it.'

He adds: 'Like how my earlier venture Thenmerku Paruvakatru had a meaty role for Saranya, Neer Paravai has got a nice character for Nanditha Das. I am happy to work with a talented actress like her.'

Lakshmi Rai joins Thaandavam team

UTV Motion Pictures Thaandavam which is currently being shot extensively in London and other parts of United Kingdom (UK) adds another key member to its cast with Lakshmi Rai. Lakshmi Rai, who last featured in super hit Tamil films of 2011 Mankathaand Kaanchana will be playing an important role inThaandavam. After Anushka Shetty and Amy Jackson, she will be the third heroine in the film and will be joining the crew soon in London.

 

Written and directed by Vijay, the film stars Vikram, Jagapathi Babu, Anushka Shetty, Amy Jackson, Lakshmi Rai, Santhanam, Thambi Ramaiah, Saranya Ponvannan, Sayaji Shinde, Kota Srinivasa Rao, Delhi Ganesh, Sujita and others. The film has music by G.V. Prakash Kumar and cinematography by Nirav Shah.

 

The shooting at London will continue till mid-June. The music will be launched in July and the film, an out an out action entertainer will hit theatres in August/September 2012.

Oru Kal Oru Kannadi goes to Bollywood

After Vettai, the latest Tamil flick to attract Bollywood producers is Rajesh's Oru Kal Oru Kannadi. The film, which also happens to be the debut flick of Udhayanidhi Stalin, has gone on to become a big hit already. The film, which has Hansika in lead roles, is running to packed houses throughout the state. Buzz is that a leading Bollywood production house has shown interest in buying the remake rights of this comedy entertainer. Talks are also o to remake the film in Telugu as well. Interesting director Rajesh's first flick Siva Manasula Shakthi was also remade in Telugu recently.

As a token of love to her filmmaker father-in-law Kasthuri Raja, Aishwarya Dhanush  along with her husband gifted a house on the day of 3's release. Interestingly Kasthuri Raja is the producer of 3 which marked the direction career of Aishwarya Dhanush. The film is an intense love story and had Shruti Haasan as the leading lady.

The film was widely known for its Kolaveri track which created wonders worldwide. So far the song has more than 53 million views on Youtube.

Why did I participate in Prabhu Deva’s birthday bash? : Trisha

Actress Trisha says that why she participated in Prabhu Deva’s birthday party. Prabhu Deva’s romance with Nayanthara came to an end a few months ago. At this juncture, Prabhu Deva recently celebrated his birthday.

 Trisha all of a sudden appeared in this party and shocked everyone. She also uploaded an intimate photo with Prabhu Deva in her Twitter page. This created sensation in Kollywood.

When asked Trisha about this, she said, "Prabhu Deva is the one who gave me a break in Telugu cinema. I was the heroine in both of his Telugu films that he had directed first. Right from that time, we are very close friends.

We will talk intimately whenever we got the opportunity to meet. I thought it was my duty to wish him on his birthday because of our friendship and that is the reason why I went to his birthday party. People have started spreading rumours linking me with Prabhu Deva.

This is nothing new to me. I am not worried about these silly things. Now I am pairing with Vishal in Samaran. My whole concentration is on cinema only. I don’t have time for any other things. I don’t think about other things also."

Nayanthara to pair with Jayam Ravi

Boologam is a film which has Jayam Ravi in the lead role. This film is being directed by debutant director Kalyanakrishnan who was earlier an assistant to director S P Jananathan.

 Nayanthara will be romancing with Jayam Ravi in this film; Boologam is being produced by Aascar Ravichandran. Director Kalyanakrishnan had narrated the screenplay to Nayanthara.

Nayanthara agreed to pair with Jayam Ravi because she was impressed with her role and story. The shooting of this film will be commencing during the month of May. Vijay Anthony is composing the music. The rest of the cast and crew are yet to be announced.

It is important to note that Nayanthara quit acting because of her romance with Prabhu Deva. Now offers are being heaped on her after she broke away from Prabhu Deva.

Hansika says that she knows her limitations

Hansika has mentioned that she knows her limitations and does not like over doing. Speaking recently to the media, she said, "The critically acclaimed Hindi film Delhi Belly is being remade in Tamil.

I am acting in this film. Kannan is directing this film. There were strong comments and criticisms about this Hindi film. The dialogues in this film are very strong and vulgar. Many asked me that whether I will speak such dialogues and act in this film. I know my status in cinema. I don’t like to over act or over do things.

The director has changed the dialogues to suit the Tamil audience. Arya is donning the role which Imran Khan donned in Hindi. I am also pairing with Naga Chaitanya in a new Telugu film. I am once again joining hands with the hit team that gave Kandrika in which I had acted."

Actress Meena becomes Vijay's Sister

Actress Meena got married in the year 2009. After her marriage, she did not take up acting. She gave birth to a girl baby. Meena was approached by many producers and directors for sister and sister-in-law roles but she accepted none.

 Now she has decided to act in films. It is understood that Vijay has approached her to don a sister role in the film Sattam Oru Iruttarai. This film was a yester year super hit film directed by Vijay’s father S A Chandrasekaran.

Vijayakanth had donned the lead role in that film. This film is being remade now. Vijay’s father S A Chandrasekaran is producing this film. Many heroines were considered for the sister role and finally Meena was chosen. It seems Meena has also accepted this offer.

Vikram wants to work with Bala again

Chiyaan Vikram, who has worked with Bala in two of his career's biggest hits, Sethu and Pithamagan, has stated that he wants to work with Bala again. Vikram is currently working on 2 movies, Thaandavam in Tamil, and David in Hindi. Jiiva is also working with Vikram in David.

Though, Vikram and Bala have been in touch after Pithamagan, which earned Vikram a National Award for Best Actor, they have not come together for another movie, yet. Earlier, there were reports that Vikram would be working with Shankar in a movie, which Shankar did not deny, but Vikram denied.

This current statement from Vikram shows that there is a very high possibility of Vikram and Bala working together, after Vikram completes the current projects on hand.

Meanwhile, Vikram, who is shooting in London for Thaandavam, celebrated his 46th birthday with the cast and crew of the movie.

Khushbu appreciates Hansika

Khushbu, the evergreen dream girl of Tamil cinema, has come out in praise of Hansika, after watching her latest release, Oru Kal Oru Kannadi (OKOK). After seeing OKOK, Khushbu posted on her twitter page, "@_Hansika your were very good in the movie..all the very best for your forthcoming projects :)". There is a scene in OKOK, in which the hero of the movie, Udhayanidhi Stalin, praises Hansika stating that she looks like Khushbu in her prime. Indeed, Hansika, with her bubbly on screen persona, and her slightly cherubic drop-dead gorgeous looks, does remind one of the Khushbu who held mainstay in Kollywood in the 80's and 90's.

Meanwhile, the audio of the 25th directorial venture of Khushbu's husband Sundar C, Kalakalappu, is releasing tomorrow. But Khushbu, who always makes it a point to be beside Sundar C at all public events, will not be able to attend the release function, as she will be away in Kochi, on some work commitments.

Irandaam Ulagam First Look Revealed

Irandaam Ulagam, Selvaraghavan's upcoming movie, after the success of Mayakkam Enna, has been creating quite a buzz since it was announced!

There was a lot of speculation over who the lead actors would be. A lot of heroes like Dhanush, Rana Daggubati, Allu Arjun and many others were considered, before Arya landed the plum role, and Anushka was roped in to play the heroine. The shooting of the movie was also delayed due to a lot of reasons. However, the shoot has been going on smoothly for some time, and now the first look pictures of the movie have been released.

Arya looks super cool, sporting a nerdy pair of glasses, while Anushka is at her homely best! The chemistry between the pair seems just perfect! We sincerely hope the same feel comes out in the movie too.

Harris Jayaraj has composed the music for the film, while cinematography is by Ramji. The shoot ofIrandaam Ulagam is almost complete, and can be expected to hit theatres soon

Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan starred film to be re-released

Superstar Rajinikanth and Ulaga Nayagan Kamal Haasan are the most celebrated stars of this generation. They have been good competitors and very close friends ever since they started acting simultaneously.

In spite of being good competitors, they have acted together in few films like ‘Apoorva Raagangal’ (Rajinikanth’s debut film), ‘16 Vaydhinilae’, ‘Avargal’ and many more films.

‘Ninaithale Inikkum’ featured Kamal Hassan, Rajnikanth, Jayapradha, Geetha, Nakul, Sarath Babu, S.Ve.Shekhar (debutant), Jayasudha, Subhashini (debutant and sister of Jayasudha), Geetha and Narayana Rao. It was directed by K.Balachander, Guru (mentor) of many of the above mentioned artists.

M.S.Viswanathan scored the Music of this film. It was released on 14th April, 1979 during Tamil New Year and became a super duper hit. It had many super hit songs like ‘Namma Ooru Singari’, ‘Nizhal Kandavan’, ‘Ninaiththaale Inikkum’, ‘Palavanna’, ‘Aananda Thaandavamo’, ‘Barathi Kannamma’, ‘Inimai Nirainda Ulagam’, ‘Kaaththirunthen’, ‘Sambo Sivasambo’, ‘Thattiketka Aalillai’, ‘Yaathum Oore’ and ‘Engeyum Eppodhum’.

‘Ninaithale Inikkum’ is little more special. As this was the last film that featured Rajnikanth and Kamal Haasan together for the last time. After that, in spite of repeated attempts by many people, they did not act together.
