"Why this Kolaveri di…" is one of the recent hit songs in Kollywood, which became famous in all quarters. It is from the film ‘3’, which features Dhanush and Shruthi Haasan in the lead roles, and is directed by Aishwarya Dhanush.
"Why this Kolaveri di…" became an unexpected hit even among the people who did not understand Tamil. The main reason for it was, it was written in simple English, basically Thanglish.
Recently, Dhanush was asked, as to why they made the "Why this Kolaveri di…" song in Thanglish? For that, Dhanush replied in a candid manner and said, "There were situations in my early life, when I was feeling it to be very difficult, even to order food in 5 star hotels. In one way, this made me to think differently and make a song like this".
