Saguni almost ready

Recently we have reported that Prakashraj will replace Salim Ghouse as the main baddie in Karthi's Saguni. It is said that Karthi's dad Sivakumar and brother Suriya watched Saguni at a special screening in Chennai and the duo was not happy with Salim's performance in the film so they decided to re-shoot the portion with Prakashraj. The film is directed by debutant Sankar Dayal (a former associate to Ezhil and S.D. Saba). Now the latest buzz is that the shooting of the film is almost complete including the songs and for a change this time Karthi has tried his hands on dancing too.

From the trailer it is clear that Karthi will play the role of Kamal, a street-smart rookie who, through his crooked yet intelligent moves, becomes the Chief Minister of a state. After Siruthai, Karthi is teaming up with Santhanam again in Saguni and their chemistry is one of the major highlights of the film. Kannada actress Pranitha plays the leading lady. The film also has Radikaa Sarathkumar, Kota Srinivasa Rao, Nasser, Roja and glam queen Mumtaz in prominent roles.
