Samantha is the heroine of Shankar’s film

The combination of Shankar and Vikram gave a super hit film titled Anniyan. Now they are going to join hands once again. This is the hot topic of Kodambakkam. Aascar Films which produced Anniyan is going to produce this film.

P C Sriram is going to handle the camera for this film. A R Rahman will be composing the music for this film. At a stage when everything was finalized, the heroine was not signed.

Initially it was mentioned that Asin would be the heroine of this film but now Samantha has been signed to pair with Vikram. A gargantuan film which has the combination of Shankar-Vikram-A R Rahman-P C Sriram- Aascar Films is to be produced shortly.

Karthika takes the route of Hansika

Vishal after Samar is acting in the film titled M G R directed by Sundar C. There was a big confusion that who will be the heroine of this film.

Initially talks were held with Hansika for the female lead role but she refused because of her call sheet problems. Then Karthika was signed for the female lead role. Now she has also quit this film.

Sundar C had initially written the screenplay which had Vishal in triple roles but now he has changed the script which has Vishal in a single role. Karthika after listening to the story felt that she is being used only for glamour purpose and because of this she did not accept the offer. Now Sarathkumar’s daughter Varalakshmi has been signed for the female lead role.

Mugamudi to hit the screens during the month of August

It would be appropriate to say that there is a special treat for the Tamil audience during the month of August.

The reason for this is because it has been announced the film Mugamudi which has Jeeva and Narain in the cast will be hitting the screens during the month of August. The audio CD of this film will be announced during the month of July.

It is expected the exact date of release will be announced soon. The crew member who had seen the Mugamudi climax sequences featuring Jeeva and Narain were very exemplarily and the audience will definitely appreciate the acting of the two.

This film which has a super hero story has been directed by Mysskin. The other supporting casts include Nasser, Akkineni Nageswara Rao, Prakash Raj and Anupama Kumar. The film which is being produced by UTV Motion Pictures has the music of K of Yuddham Sei fame.

I am ready for extra glamour in Hindi films says Samantha

Samantha who made her debut in Baana Kaathadi is now busy acting in Naan E, Kadal and Nee Thane En Pon Vasantham.

Since she is acting in mega films, she is likely to become number one actress of Kollywood but Samantha says that she has no belief in numbers and it is enough that if she is a successful heroine. She further added, " I don’t want to get stagnated in South Indian films.

More over my aim is to act in Hindi films and become an Indian actress. I have already started making efforts to put my foot in Hindi films. If necessary I don’t mind donning excessive glamour roles in Bollywood.

Shruthi Haasan ferociously asked whether she was an unlucky actress because a film flopped.

Actress Shruthi Haasan said, "For the last few weeks the media people were writing that I am an unlucky girl.

The Telugu film Gabbar Singh in which I had donned the female lead role turned out to be a super hit. Now they are writing that I am a lucky girl.

The film in which I had acted in Hindi was a flop. People wrote that I was unlucky girl. Now I am happy because the same people are writing that I am a lucky girl.

When I was a kid, I have seen my father films which either turned out to be hits or flops. As far as I am concerned each film is an experience. All the films I have acted were good ones.

I am proud of the roles that I have donned in these films. My roles in O My Friend, 3 and Ezham Arivu were strong and independent. I am giving 100% acting for the roles which I don.

I am not responsible for the outcome. Many are asking that whether I will act in a film after consulting my father and mother. First I will listen to the story. If I am doubtful, then I will seek the advice of my parents.

Since I am the daughter of Sarika and Kamal Haasan I have additional responsibilities. I should fulfil the expectations of the audience. That is my job. Even now I am learning a lot in cinema and music."

I have not undergone any surgery to reduce my weight says Hansika

There was news a couple of days ago that Hansika had undergone surgery to reducer her weight.

She has mentioned that there is no truth in that news and that she has not undergone any surgery to reduce her weight.

She said, "All of a sudden my weight increased. I suffered because of this. So I decided to reduce my weight. I was in strict diet.

I was regular in my exercises. I am acting with Surya in Singam 2. I am donning the role of a school girl in this film. Director Hari told me to reduce my weight very drastically.

At the same time if I am lean I can make it big in Bollywood but in Tamil cinema you will get offers only if your little fluffy. At the same time they will sideline me if I become overweight.

Lots of people pointed out at this. Because of this I reduced my weight. I am currently acting with Arya in Settai. People who saw me in the sets were surprised.

There are rumours that I underwent surgery to reduce my weight. There is no necessity for that. I was very much determined that I should not lose my bubbly look while reducing my weight.

In a recent college function one of the students called me Rasgulla (Popular cheese based syrupy sweet dish). I was very happy when I heard this."

After 7 years, S J Surya is back as a director

S J Suryah is a director who gave hit films which had actors like Ajith and Vijay in the lead roles. The last film which S J Suryah had directed was Anbe Aaruyire in the year 2005.

After this he did not direct any Tamil films since he was busy in acting and did not concentrate in direction. In the year 2010, S J Suryah had directed a Telugu film titled Puli which had Pawan Kalyan in the lead role.

Though this film had the music of A R Rahman, the film bombed at the box office. After seven years S J Suryah is back in Tamil film industry as a director. He will be donning the lead role in this film which he will be directing. New face Savithri is donning the female lead role in this film. Prakash Raj, Ganja Karuppu, M S Baskar and others are also starring in this film. The film is titled Isai. Apart from directing and acting, S J Suryah is composing music for his film for the first time. Isai is a musical thriller film. The shooting of this film is to commence during the last week of this month.

Karthi captures the third place in Andhra

Karthi has the habit of choosing different kinds of stories. It changes from film to film. Through the film Saguni he has registered the lives of the low class people. This film can be remade in any languages.

Debutant director Shankar Dayal has penned such a screenplay. The audio CD of this film is to be released on 31st May. Karthi, Prakash Raj, Santhanam, Radhika and Roja have acted in this film.

The audio launch function is being held at Sathyam Cinemas. The film has been produced under the Dream Warriors Pictures banner. Seeing this film, Gnanavel Raja has acquired the right of this film at a whooping price. Sri Sai Ganesh has acquired the Telugu rights of this film by paying Crores of rupees. After Rajni and Surya, Karthi has captured the third place in the Andhra with regard to marketing.

3 in New York Festival

3 is a film which has Dhanush and Shruthi Haasan in the lead roles. This film which had been directed by Aishwarya Dhanush was released recently but it bombed at the box office.

Telugu distributor Natty Kumar alleged that he had incurred a heavy loss because of this film and also made a complaint to police regarding this.

Aishwarya who was depressed because of this has got a little solace now because her film 3 has been selected for Indian Film Festival which is being held in New York. Many Tamil films including Aadukalam and Azhagar Sami Kuthirai are also being screened in this festival.

Aishwarya is leaving to New York to participate in the festival. She while speaking said, " It gives me immense pleasure because my film 3 is being screened in the Film Festival to be held in New York. They are to honour me in this festival since I am a new director. I am also very happy that my film is being screened at the International level."

Sneha postpones her honeymoon

After marriage Sneha is acting in a new film titled Haridass. Recently the marriage of actor Prasanna and Sneha took place. There were lots of expectations that whether Sneha will act after her marriage or not.

  

Prasanna had also mentioned that she can act in films if she wants but Sneha had mentioned that she had not decided about her acting after her marriage.

Santhanam to drive the car in London

The shooting of Thandavam is taking place in Briton’s capital city London. The film which has Vikram, Anushka, Amy Jackson, Santhanam, Jagapathy Babu and others in the cast is being directed by Vijay.

UTV Motion Pictures is producing this high budgeted film. At this juncture Santhanam has gone to London to participate in the shooting of Thandavam.

Santhanam’s role in this film is about a person who goes from Usilampatti to London and work there without the knowledge of British Government. He is donning the role of a car driver. Santhanam should be in possession of an International Car Driving licence to drive the car in London and hence he has applied for it. Vikram will be sharing the screen with Santhanam in the sequences shot in London.

Shruthi Haasan to settle in Mumbai

Kamal Haasan’s daughter Shruthi Haasan made her debut through the Hindi film Luck. Since her Bollywood film bombed at the box office, she switched over to Tamil films.

The film Ezham Arivu in which she donned the female lead role fetched her good name. Similarly the Telugu film Gabbar Singh in which she paired with Pawan Kalyan turned out to be a block buster.

Now it is understood that Shruthi is getting lots of offers in Bollywood and because of this she has rented an apartment in Bandra, Mumbai. Sources close to her say that she will be shifting very soon to Mumbai.

Shruthi while speaking about this said," It si true that I have rented an apartment in Mumbai. There is always a connection between Mumbai and me. My mother and sister are staying in Mumbai. I also studied at St Andrew College in Bandra. Mumbai is like my second house. That is why I have become a Bandra girl."

Billa 2 to hit the screens next month

It has been confirmed that Billa 2 which has Ajith in the lead role is to be released next month.

At a stage when the post production works are going on, the producer was busy marketing the theatrical rights in Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Andhra.

Aascar Ravichandran has acquired the Tamil Nadu rights at a whooping price. Aascar Ravichandran has planned to release Billa 2 on 8th June.

Currently Billa 2’s director Chakri Toleti and music composer Yuvan Shankar Raja are busy scoring the back ground music. Once this work is over, the film will be sent to Censor Board for certification.

The audio CD of this film was not launched in a big way and because of this a new trailer of Billa 2 is being readied in Mumbai. Aascar Ravichandran has planned to release this trailer in a big manner.

Prabhu Deva says that his children’s happiness is important to him

Prabhu Deva is busy directing a Hindi film. He while speaking said that his children’s happiness is important to him. Prabhu while speaking to the media said, "Me acting, dancing and directing are for others.

When we get recognition and appreciation from the people for our work, it is our accomplishment and pride for us but it is enough if my children knows that whether I am a good or a bad father.

Work is important to me. After that only my children are important to me. This is my world. While shooting in Mumbai, the elder kid Raghavendr Deva and the younger kid Adith Deva were with me.

By the grace of Sonakshi Sinha we got the tickets for the IPL match. My kids and I enjoyed the matches. We went to all the places in Mumbai. My kids enjoyed their summer vacation with me very jollily. I was also happy because they were with me. Many of you are asking me that both my kids are clever and what will I want them to become.

Why can’t they become like me. My elder son is aged 9 years and the younger one is aged 5 years. What will be their aim at this age? As a good father I should bring them up well. At some juncture they will have dreams about their future then we will decide. I will abide by their decisions as a good father."

Director Vasanth speaks about directing three heroes

Director Vasanath’s films are like beautiful musical greeting cards. He is currently directing a film titled Moondru Per Moondru Kadhal. The heroes of this film are Arjun, Cheran and Vimal. This film speaks about the three heroes’ romance.

Vasanth said that this film is not a love story but it is about the story of love.When asked about the experience while directing these three heroes, he said, "Cheran is my close friends. His film Autograph is my all time favourite.

Cheran likes my Rhythm and Satham Podathey. In the year 2005, I was one of jury in the National Award committee. For unknown reasons, the North Indian juries did not bother about Autograph. This film did not find its place in the first round. Only through my efforts I made this film figure in the National Awards list.

In my film he is donning the role of a person called Gunasekar. His portions take place in a small seashore village. It will be like a cute poem. Arjun is a smart actor. You can see the same cuteness in him which we saw 12 years back in Rhythm. Vimal is like the late actor Nagesh. Nagesh will make others laugh without him laughing. Vimal is also like that. Only his portions are remaining to be shot. Once that is over, the film is ready."

Kamal Haasan in Panchathanthiram Part 2

The combination of Kamal Haasan and director K S Ravikumar gave hit films like Avvai Shanmugi, Tenali and Dasavatharam and Panchathantiram. After Viswaroobam, there are lots of wild guesses going around that which film will Kamal act.

The only confirmed news was that whatever film Kamal will act will be produced by Aascar Ravichandran. Now there is news that the successful team Kamal Haasan and K S Ravikumar are going to join hands once again.

They will be joining in the Part 2 of Panchathantiram which is to be produced by Aascar Ravichandran. If a film of Kamal takes a long time for its release, Kamal will always see to it that his next film will be produced in a short span of time. K S Ravikumar will always complete a film within the stipulated time.

Though Panchathanthiram is to be produced in a short span of time, it will be a high budgeted film. The comedy scenes and dialogues of Panchathanthiram Part 1 were very much appreciated. A meet with Sonia Agarwal

Sonia Agarwal was in Coimbatore recently. We met and conversed with her:

Your ex husband has got married? You have not announced about your marriage?

What is the urgency now? Let’s see after three or four years. I feel as I am a free bird now. I make all the decisions on my own. I am like out of the prison. This time I will not make hasty decisions. I am not in control of anyone. If Selvaraghavan had married that is his wish. I am fully concentrating in acting. I have not decided about my marriage now.

What are the consoling things at this juncture of your life?

I am currently pairing with Mukesh in a Malayalam film titled Grahanatha. In Tamil I am acting in the films Matha Pitha Guru, Achchamenna and Poi Sollathedi. Initially I made my debut in Telugu film. Later on I acted in Kannada films. After this I made my debut in the Tamil film Kadhal Kondein. I am acting in Kannada and Telugu films. I am getting lots of offers. Acting and being with my friends are the consoling things.

Close friends?

In the industry? My close friends in the industry are Trisha, Reema, Ramya Krishnan, Meena and Sarathkumar’s daughter Varalakshmi. If I am not able to meet them, I will speak with them hours together on the mobile phone. I will meet them in person at least once in three days.

There is news that there are problems between Dhanush and Aishwarya like you and Selva. What are the problems in that house regarding the daughter-in-laws?

I don’t know anything about Dhanush- Aishwarya problems. There is no problem between us. Apart from this I don’t want to talk about the matters that have been completed.

Big Star Cast In Ajith's Film

After Billa 2, Ajith is acting in a film to be directed by Vishnuvardhan. Talks are going on with some leading actors to cast them in this film. The shooting of this film is to commence on 31st May in Mumbai.

The official announcement regarding this was made by the production house Sri Sathya Sai Movies. For the first time Arya is going to share the screen with Ajith in this film. Nayanthara and Tapsee are also starring in this film.

The Billa hit team which consists of Ajith- Nayanthara- Yuvan Shankar Raja-Vishnuvardhan are joining hands for the second time. Subha and Vishnuvardhan have penned the story and screenplay.

Talks are going on with Aravind Swamy and Prithviraj to don important roles. Aravind Swamy is currently acting in Kadal directed by Manirathnam. It is expected that he will act in Ajith’s film after he completes Kadal. Subha have penned the dialogues while P S Vinodh is handling the camera. Sreekar Prasad is in charge of editing. The first schedule of shooting of this film will commence on 31st of this month in Mumbai

Shooting of Kalakalappu Part 2 from 1st October

There is a great reception for comedy films among the Tamil audience these days. After the great success of the film Oru Kal Oru Kannadi another full length comedy film titled Kalakalappu was released.

Santhanam for the first time has joined hands with Sundar C. Vimal, Mirchi Shiva, Oviya and Anjali were also part of this film.This film was released among great expectations because of Santhanam’s comedy.

There is a great reception for this film Kalakalappu among the Tamil audience. Now the shows of this film have been increased in all the theatres where Oru Kal Oru Kannadi has been screened. UTV Motion Pictures who have produced this film are in cloud nine. The production has decided to produce Part 2 of this film.

Sundar C is currently busy in directing a film which has Vishal in the lead role. He will be directing the Part 2 of Kalakalappu during the month of October. The same cast and crew of Kalakalappu will also be working in this film.

G V Prakash to compose music for Salman Khan’s film

G V Prakash who is one of the leading music composers of the Tamil film industry is to compose music for a Hindi film which has Salman Khan in the lead role.

Thillalangadi is a Tamil film which had Jayam Ravi and Thamanna in the lead roles. This film is being remade in Hindi. Salman Khan is donning the lead role in this film. G V Prakash Kumar is composing music for this film.

G V Prakash has recently completed composing music for an English song for the film Thandavam. Apart from this he is also composing music for the films directed by Bharathiraja, Bala and Vetrimaaran. After completing these films, he will compose music for Salman Khan’s film.

Arya is very busy in his profession. Currently he is acting in Settai which is the remake of the Hindi film Delhi Belly.

Rajnikanth’s gift to the newly married couple

Actress Sneha and actor Prasanna’s marriage took place last Friday. An exclusive marriage reception was held the next day for the actors and actresses. Rajni did not participate in any of these marriage functions. Rajni was not able to attend the functions because he was busy shooting for Kochadaiyaan in Kerala.

 

After returning to Chennai, he invited the newly wedded couple to his house and hosted a dinner. He had gifted them with an oil painting portrait of Raghavendra. If Rajni does not attend the marriage of the people close to him, he has the habit of calling the couple to his house and gifts them with the portrait of Raghavendra.

 

After giving the gift to Sneha-Prasanna couple, he was speaking to them for short time.  Prasanna after leaving Rajni’s residence said, “Rajni has given us a wonderful gift at the time when we are to begin our new life. This is an unforgettable moment in our lives.”

Samantha said that she will not marry a married person

Actress Samantha made her debut as heroine in the Tamil film Baana Kaathadi. She also acted in the films Vinnaithaandi Varuvaaya and Nadunissi Naaigal. She is currently donning the female lead role in the films Nee Thane En Pon Vasantham and Kadal. She is also one of the leading actresses in the Telugu film industry. 

 

She while speaking to the media said, “I like the yester year heroine Sridevi very much. She who began her career as a child actress rose to number one position in the South Indian films. 

She then went to Bollywood and proved herself as a queen there. She is the role model for my acting. I who had acted in Tamil and Telugu films had gone to Bollywood like Sridevi. Though I follow her in all the matters, I will not follow her in the marriage matter. Sridevi has married a person who has already married another woman. I will not marry a married person. I like cricket very much. In my younger age I use to play cricket in the streets. I know all the rules of cricket. I am a great fan of Tendulkar.”

Is Priyamani waiting for Hindi offers?

There is news that Priyamani is waiting for Hindi offers and her mother is camped in Mumbai and searching for offers for her daughter. When asked Priyamani about this, she said, “My relatives are in Mumbai. My mother will be visiting them regularly.

Seeing this, people have started spreading rumours that my mother has gone to Mumbai in search of Hindi offers for me. There is no need to search for offers. I am very busy acting in two Kannada films, two Malayalam films and a Telugu film.

Jayam Ravi to flirt

Jayam Ravi is very cheerful these days. He has completed the long pending Aadhi Bhagavan. Now he will be acting in the films to be directed by Kalyan and Samudrakani.

The film to be directed by Kalyan is titled Boologam. This film is being produced by Aascar Ravichandran. Prakash Raj and Santhanam are donning important roles in this film.

The film which is being directed Samudrakani is produced under banner Vasan Visuals. Jayam Ravi is donning dual roles in this film. He is donning the role of a 48 years old man and a youth. Amala Paul has been signed for the female lead role.

Kalakalappu – Part 2

There was a great reception for the full length comedy film Oru Kal Oru Kannadi. After this another full length comedy film titled Kalakalappu was released.

There will be no dearth for comedy in Sundar C films. Apart from this Sundar C had earlier directed full length comedy films such as Ullathai Allitha, Unakkaga Ellam Unakkaga and Winner.

For the first time Santhanam had joined hands with Sundar C in Kalakalappu. Vimal, Mirchi Shiva, Anjali and Oviya were in the cast. There were lots of expectations because this is a full length comedy film directed by Sundar C after a long time. This film turned out to be a super duper hit throughout the world.

G Dhananjayan who is the Chief- South Business of UTV Motion Pictures while speaking said, "I am really happy that Kalakalappu is a great success. We will be increasing the theatres from 18th of this month throughout Tamil Nadu. We are planning to produce Part 2 of Kalakalappu with the same cast and crew."

I am not remaking the Tamil film Basha in Hindi says Prabhu Deva

Basha is a film which had Super star Rajnikanth and Nagma in the lead roles. This film was released in the year 1995. Suresh Krishna has directed this film.  

This film was block buster and yielded great profits. This film was remade in Bengali by Mithun Chakraborty. There was news recently that this film is to be remade in Hindi. It was also mentioned that Prabhu Deva would be directing this remake film which will have Akshay Kumar in the lead role.

When asked Prabhu Deva about this, he said, "Basha which had Rajni in the lead role is a beautiful film. This film attracted all kind of people. This film cannot be remade in Hindi. There is no truth in the news that this film is going to remade in Hindi, I don’t know who is starting such kind of rumours. I am going to direct a film which will have Akshay Kumar in the lead role but that story is different."

Dhanush in South Africa

Dhanush would not have expected that his fate will be so worst after the release of the film 3. 3 is a film which had Dhanush and Shruthi Haasan in the lead roles. This film was directed by Aishwarya Dhanush.

This most expected film 3 bombed at the box office. On one side Dhanush was targeted by producer Natty Kumar and on the other side he was stuck up in a controversy because of Shruthi Haasan.

Dhanush has been signed by Bharath Bala for the film to be directed by him. Now Dhanush is busy participating in the shooting of this film. The film has been titled Mariyaan. I am busy currently. Will think of marriage after one year says Trisha

Trisha is losing her prominence in the Tamil and Telugu film industries because of the advent of new heroines such as Anushka, Hansika, Tapsee, Kajal and Deeksha. Because of this there is news that Trisha will be getting married soon.

Though these kinds of news are regular, Trisha as usual is acting in numerous films. Currently she is pairing with Vishal in the Tamil film Samar. She is donning the role of a NRI girl.

Apart from this she will be pairing with Jayam Ravi in Boologam, with Jeeva in Endrendrum Punnagai and with Ravi Teja in a Telugu film. The shooting of these films are to commence soon. Apart from this, she is listening to lots of stories. So this shows that Trisha is still a busy actress.

She was asked: You are not getting married because you are having lots of films in your hands.

Trisha: I am not refusing the offers I get. It will take at least one year to complete my films than I will think of my marriage

Leelai hero wants to act in romantic films

Bollywood actor Shiv Pandit who had earlier acted in the Hindi film Shaitan is debuting in Tamil through the film Leelai. Shiv Pandit is interested to act in romantic and family oriented films in Kollywood.

Shiv Pandit while speaking said, "As an actor I will bring out my acting skills in Kollywood and Bollywood films without any bias. After completing Bollywood films I will set my foot in Kollywood. I will select the roles which will suit my physique in Kollywood films. I am very much interested to act in romantic and family oriented films in Tamil."Shiv Pandit and Piya will be donning the lead roles in a Tamil film.

I am not acting in Thuppakki says Sarathkumar

Actor Sarathkumar said that he is not acting in Thuppakki which has Vijay in the lead role. Sarathkumar while speaking said, "I have just returned to Chennai after completing my tour in America.

There was lots of news mentioning that I was acting in Thuppakki. Only through the media I came to know that I am donning an important role in that film. There is no truth in that news. It is all fabricated.

At least they could have published this news after enquiring. I am interested to act in multi starrer films. Currently I am acting with Rajni in Kochadaiyaan. I am also acting in some Malayalam and Kannada films. The film Vidiyal which has Sneha and me in the lead roles is to be released soon."

Pithamagan to be remade in Hindi

The Tamil film Pithamagan is to be remade in Hindi. This film was released some 9 years back. Bala had directed this film. Vikram and Surya had shared the screen in this film.

This film fetched the National Award for Vikram. Director Sathish Kaushik who had earlier directed the film Tere Naam which was the remake of the Tamil film Sethu which had Vikram in the lead role is directing Pithamagan in Hindi.

Salman Khan is donning the role which Vikram donned in Tamil. Sathish Kaushik while speaking about this said, "I liked the story of Pithamagan very much. That is why I am remaking this film in Hindi. I have chosen Salman Khan because he would suit the role. The shooting of this film is to commence soon."

Trisha quits Ravi Teja’s film

Trisha was signed to pair with the famous Telugu actor Ravi Teja in a Telugu film titled Sir Vostara. It is understood that Ravi Teja has recommended Trisha and director Parasuram had agreed for it.

Trisha all of a sudden has refused to act in this film. This has created great sensation in Telugu film industry. It seems that Ravi Teja is also shocked about this.

When asked Trisha about this, she said, "I have already been signed for big budgeted films. They had asked me to allot the dates for Sir Vostara which I had already given for other films. Because of this I was not able to act in Sir Vostara. "

Trisha is pairing with Vishal in the Tamil film Samar. She is also pairing with Jeeva in the film directed by Ahamad. Since she is busy acting in these two films, she has quit Sir Vostara.

Prabhu Deva says that he will come to Tamil Nadu only after 15 years

Prabhu Deva is currently directing a Hindi film title Rowdy Rathore.

 In an interview with him:It is a big surprise that Vijay has danced with Bollywood hero Akshay Kumar. Will you make Vijay act in a Hindi film? 

Rowdy Rathore is the remake of the Tamil film Siruthai. I felt that it would be better if Vijay sir danced for the opening song Jintha Jintha. Vijay immediately gave his nod and danced. I am really grateful to Vijay. If Vijay wants to act in a Hindi film, I am ready to direct it.

Have you decided to settle in Mumbai permanently?

To tell the truth I am continuously directing Hindi films. I am interested in Tamil films but to complete the commitments in Hindi, it will take at least 15 years to come back to Tamil Nadu. I am really telling this. I have got lots of work in Mumbai.

In one of the interviews Nayanthara has mentioned that she was faithful to you but you were not.

I can fall in love at anytime says Prabhu Deva

After Prabhu Deva broke his love with Nayanthara, he is very busy in Hindi films in Mumbai. Now he is busy in the release works of his Hindi film Rowdy Rathore.

Next he has planned to direct Hindi films that will have Salman Khan and Akshay Kumar in the lead roles. Since he will be continuously busy in Hindi films, he has decided to settle in Mumbai.

While speaking he said, "I am interested to act and direct but I will not be the choreographer for my films. There are separate choreographers for that. As a director I will not interfere in their choreography but as a choreographer I will give them some suggestions. After breaking my love with Nayanthara I am not love with anyone. As of now I am in love with cinema. Moreover we cannot forecast that will happen in our life in future. Love can come at anytime. I may also fall in love at anytime."

Vijay as an intelligent service agent

Vijay is currently donning the lead role in the Tamil film titled Thuppakki directed by A R Murugadoss. Kajal Agarwal is donning the female lead role.

The film which is being produced by Kalaipuli S Dhanu has the music of Harris Jayaraj. Santhosh Shivan is handing the camera. The shooting of this film will come be completed by end of June. 90% of the shooting of Thuppakki has been completed.

Only two song sequences are remaining to be shot. There were various news about in which film will Vijay act after Thuppakki. There was also news that Vijay will be acting in a film to be directed by humorous director Rajesh but now there is confirmed news that Vijay will be donning the lead role in the film titled Yohan to be directed by Gowtham Menon.

A R Rahman will be composing the music. The other cast and crew including the heroine has not been disclosed. Gowtham Menon said that he will be commencing the shooting during the first week of July. Vijay is donning the role of an Intelligence agent in Yohan.

Trisha is very upset because she could not be with her mother on Mother’s Day

Apart from being a mother, Trisha’s mother Uma is a very close friend of Trisha. Both of them will move like thick friends. Trisha is very fond of her mother. She will always say that her mother is the reason for her growth in her career.

She who was so fond of her mother was little upset because she was not able to spend her time with her mother on Mother’s Day. On the Mother’s Day she had to participate in an advertisement film shooting in Mysore. Though she was in Mysore, she phoned up her mother and wished her on Mother’s Day. She had also wished her mother on her social website by saying, "I love you Mum. Happy Mother’s Day."

Popular music composer M S Viswanathan’s wife passes away

The famous Tamil film music composer M S Viswanathan’s wife Janaki who was ill for a long time passed away yesterday at a private nursing home. She was aged 73. For the last two years, Janaki was suffering from kidney problems.

She was undergoing treatment for the same. She was treated in her home. Two months back her health conditions worsened. Because of this she was admitted in the Miot Hospital at Ramapuram in Chennai for treatment.

Her husband M S Viswanathan and other family members were taking care of her in the hospital. All the music composers including Ilayaraja had been to the hospital to enquire about her health. In spite of intensive treatment she could not be saved. She passed away at 4.15 pm yesterday.

Her body was taken to Santhome residence at 6 pm. Floral tribute was paid on behalf of South Indian Films Music Composers Association. Important members of the film fraternity also paid floral tributes. Janaki has four sons and three daughters. The cremation took place at 12 noon in the Beasant Nagar crematorium.

Tapsee to share the screen with Ajith

Ajith after Billa 2 is acting in a film directed by Vishnuvardhan. Now there is news that Tapsee will also be a part of this film. Tapsee made her debut in Tamil through the film Aadukalam which had Dhanush in the lead role.

She excelled by donning the role of an Anglo Indian girl in her first film itself. Later on she paired with Jeeva in the film titled Vandhaan Vendraan. Though both the films were moderate, she was not able to retain a place in Tamil cinema till now but at the same time she has become one of the leading actresses in Telugu film industry.

At this juncture, she will be acting in a Tamil film which will be having Ajith in the lead role. Director Vishnuvardhan who had earlier directed Ajith in the hit film Billa is once again directing him in a new film.

Arya will also be donning an important role in this film. A M Rathinam is producing this film. Nayanthara is pairing with Ajith. Now Tapsee has also been signed for this film. She will not be pairing with Ajith but with Arya. Tapsee is confident that this film will fetch her good name. The shooting of this untitled film is to commence during the last week of this month in Mumbai.

Prasanna weds Sneha

Prasanna- Sneha marriage took place in a grand manner this morning in Chennai. Actress Sneha fell in love with actor Prasanna and later on with the approval of their parents they announced their marriage.

Yesterday the betrothal function and reception was held at Sree Vaaru Venkatachalapathi Palace in Chennai. Today morning (11th May), the marriage of Sneha and Prasanna took place in the morning between 9 am to 10.30 am.

Since both belonged to different castes, the marriage was held in two different traditional manners. First the marriage was held according to Naidu customs since Sneha belongs to Naidu Community. Than the marriage took place according to Brahmin customs, since Prasanna belonged to Brahmin community. Lots of people including Shivakumar family, Vijayakumar family, directors Hari, Cheran, P Vasu, Nasar and K R Vijaya attended the marriage function and blessed the couple.

Nayanthara to don the role of Silk Smitha

The Hindi film The Dirty Picture was based on the life of the late South Indian actress Silk Smitha. Vidhya Balan had donned the role of Silk Smitha. This film was a great hit and yielded good profits.

 Vidhya Balan also got the National Award for her best acting in this film. There were lots of hurdles in releasing this film but it somehow managed to reach the theatres.

Silk Smitha’s family members approached the Court in connection with banning of this film. There were lots of protests from various organizations because Vidhya Balan had acted very glamorously. Finally the Court permitted the release of this film.
Since there was a great reception for this film, the producers have decided to remake this film in various languages. This film is to be remade in Tamil and Telugu languages. Various actresses are being considered for the role of Silk Smitha. Anushka, Nikitha and Richa were also considered. Finally it is understood that the producers have zeroed on Nayanthara. It is expected that very soon she will sign the agreement. She has demanded more salary for this film since she has to act very glamorously. The producers have also agreed for this.

Viswaroobam to hit the screens during the month of June

The First Look of the film Viswaroobam which has Kamal in the lead role was released on 1st May. There is a great expectation for this film which has been directed by Kamal Haasan.

Kamal is also a co—producer of this film which has Kamal, Pooja Kumar, Andrea and Rahul Bose in the cast. This is a high budgeted film ever to be produced in India. The shooting of this film has taken place in India and in important cities of America.

Shankar, Ehsaan and Loy have composed music for this film. The post production works of this film is going on in top gear in Los Angeles city. After completing all the works of this film, Kamal has decided to screen this film for producer Barrie M Osborne. Hollywood producer Barrie M Osborne has produced films such as The Lord of the Rings and Matrix. It is understood that Kamal will do lots of promo work for this film. The film is to hit the screens during the month of June.

After acting in the hit film Siruthai, Karthi is acting in the film titled Saguni. Pranitha, Santhanam, Radhika Sarathkumar, Mumtaz, Salim Ghouse and others are starring in this film.

Debutant director Shankar Dayal is directing this film. G V Prakash has composed the music for this film. The shooting of this film was delayed due to FEFSI problems. After this they were not satisfied with Salim Ghouse acting.

They deleted his scenes and again these scenes were shot using Prakash Raj. All the works connected with this film has been completed and it was decided to release the audio CD of this film on 11thMay. This has been postponed. When enquired about this, it has come to light the production house has decided to release the audio CD in a grand manner on 25th May which happens to be the birth day of Karthi. This film is to be released during the last week of June.

Oru Kal Oru Kannadi will be overtaking Mankatha and 7 am Arivu

Udhayanidhi Stalin debuted as hero through the film Oru Kal Oru Kannadi. He is very cheerful now. This film was released in 400 theatres throughout the world. This film has turned out to be a great hit.

After the release of Oru Kal Oru Kannadi, the other films have been pushed back. This film is still on the top. Udhayanidhi Stalin has gone on summer vacation along with his family members to European countries.

He has mentioned, "Oru Kal Oru Kannadi has been seen by numerous people in the theatres of Tamil Nadu. Number wise it has crossed Mankatha and Ezham Arivu. It is not important that how many people are doing comedy in this film. It is important that how many people have seen the film and how much it has earned monetary wise."
