Venkat Prabhu to join hands with Karthi

Director Venkat Prabhu had directed hit films like Chennai 600028, Saroja, Goa and Mankatha. After Mankatha, he had given a wide gap.

At this juncture, he was supposed to direct a film which would have Surya in the lead role but Surya had given dates for Singam Part 2. Because of this, the offer has gone to his brother Karthi. It is confirmed that Karthi will don the lead role in the film directed by Venkat Prabhu. Venkat Prabhu have been abroad to ready the story for this film. Sources from industry say that the shooting of this film is to begin soon. Karthi was donning the lead role in the film Saguni. The shooting of this film has been completed and is ready for release.
